As personal wellness and biophilic influences continue to permeate interior residential design, products that mimic the look and feel of natural elements captivate both homeowners and designers alike. Whether those items are sleek and elegant, such as natural marble or polished metal, or rustic and raw like wood and stone, all have a place in today’s kitchen and bath designs.
When it comes to tile, nature-based materials such as painted clay, as well as artisan-crafted items, are trending, as are ceramics and porcelains showcasing 3D printed surfaces inspired by nature’s canvas. Texture also continues to be a major draw, with ribbing, fluting, weaves and hand-hewn surfacing delivering distinctive looks for more personalized spaces.
On this page, Kitchen & Bath Design News highlights tile looks that are sharing the spotlight.
