As a manufacturer serving the kitchen and bath industry since 1990, Hardware Resources had unique insight into the dynamics of the cabinetry market before launching NorthPoint Cabinetry®. They understood that choosing cabinetry isn’t one-size-fits-all; each decision-maker has specific needs that must be met. Cabinet makers want quality products that can be seamlessly integrated into their business. Builders need competitive pricing and short lead times. Designers want the flexibility to create personalized spaces without the wait time associated with custom cabinetry. All customers need products delivered on time and prompt support to resolve problems fast. To meet these needs, NorthPoint Cabinetry has expanded its product portfolio and made investments to support customers now and in the future.

Cabinet Pros Know
When NorthPoint Cabinetry launched in 2019, it quickly became the go-to solution for cabinet makers who wanted to expand their business without increasing labor costs. During the pandemic, demand for cabinetry exploded, and cabinet makers struggled to keep up. Many looked to newly established cabinet suppliers but found that the products did not meet their quality standards, and the lead times were too long. NorthPoint Cabinetry addressed both these challenges. The cabinets feature solid wood construction with dovetail and pocket screw assemblies that reinforces the cabinetry’s structural integrity. The clean interiors are free of fasteners, and the exterior finishes have a consistent uniform finish. NorthPoint QuickBuild® cabinets are shipped flat packed within days and can be built in minutes using a mallet and screw gun. Cabinet makers were able to integrate NorthPoint Cabinetry into their businesses and be proud to call the product their own.

Growing Reputation
By 2022, NorthPoint Cabinetry was serving customers nationwide from warehouses in Tampa, FL; Memphis: TN; Phoenix; AZ; and York, PA. The kitchen and bath industry was in a growth period, and awareness of the NorthPoint Cabinetry brand had moved beyond cabinet makers. Home builders found that the Essentials Collection from NorthPoint Cabinetry was an ideal solution for spec homes where the priority is to manage job costs without sacrificing quality. Remodeling contractors chose the Premier Collection, which offered two different door styles, integrated soft-close doors and drawers, and most importantly, short lead times.

As NorthPoint Cabinetry’s reputation grew among designers, so did requests for additional finish options. In response two new finishes, Slate and Sandstone, were introduced. The Slate finish provides an earthy grey stain that brings depth to any space. The neutral-tone Sandstone finish creates a warm, airy feel.

Providing customers with fast turnaround times on orders is a key factor in NorthPoint Cabinetry’s success. To support that objective, additional warehouse and distribution facilities were utilized, including new facilities dedicated exclusively to NorthPoint Cabinetry. The dedicated facilities were strategically located to meet not only current demand but position NorthPoint Cabinetry for future growth.

Expanded Options
In early 2025, NorthPoint Cabinetry began offering assembled cabinetry to meet the needs of kitchen cabinet dealers and showroom customers who wanted NorthPoint Cabinetry but did not have the space or labor to assemble cabinets. The objective was to give assembled cabinetry customers the same advantages as QuickBuild customers—fast shipping nationwide of an exceptional line of quality cabinetry products they would be proud to call their own.

The logistics for shipping flat-pack QuickBuild cabinets are very different from building and shipping fully assembled cabinets. “For several months, we worked closely with select customers to develop a pilot program for assembled cabinets,” said Megan Rushing, Chief Marketing and Product Officer at Hardware Resources. “The feedback they provided informed decisions we made to support a national launch. We expanded our technology and customer support organizations and challenged them to build systems and processes necessary to give customers the best possible experience whether they were choosing QuickBuild or Assembled NorthPoint Cabinetry.”
In August 2025, the QuickBuild product category expanded to include an unfinished cabinet option. This enables customers to more tightly integrate NorthPoint Cabinetry into their business and offer customers more customized solutions faster than building custom products.
