Master designer-salesman leads company to profitability
A top salesperson in every field he worked in as part of the home improvement and design industry, Chris Rossetti, v.p., Main Line Kitchen Design in Bala Cynwyd, PA, started at Lowe’s at the millwork desk and quickly became the top millwork salesperson in his region. Based on his success, his store manager suggested he use his abilities to right the ship of the store’s struggling kitchen department.
In addition to his sales skills, Rossetti became an accomplished designer and, after a few years, moved on to positions in project management and outside sales. Using Excel and CRM tracking systems effectively, he was able to set regional sales records and keep projects on track and profitable.
Rossetti was recruited by Main Line Kitchen Design in 2019. Designing and selling custom kitchens in the 25 hours a week he allots to this pursuit, he averages selling $1 million a year in cabinetry himself. He also created and customized the firm’s payroll system, its
monday.com CRM system. He also reviews and places most of the complex custom cabinetry orders for the other designers.
Under Rossetti’s direction, Main Line Kitchen Design’s sales were up 95% in 2021. In coming years, he expects to lead the company into the franchise market.
