Designer leverages e-communication platforms to educate industry
Not only is Sharon L. Sherman a multiple-award-winning interior designer who has specialized in kitchens and baths for the past 20 years, she is a prolific communicator within the industry.
Owner of Thyme and Place Design in Wyckoff, NJ, she pens a well-read blog and has been a featured speaker on the Designers Today podcast. Her work is widely published, and she’s been quoted in Forbes, the Washington Post, Design Milk and other publications. In addition, she was the lead guest in the “Design Uncut” series for MrSteam. A highlight of Sherman’s career was the NKBA’s invitation to be a “Voices of The Industry” speaker at KBIS 2021.
Sherman has used innovative new tools like the Clubhouse social media platform to educate her fellow kitchen and bath and interior designers on the issues of the day impacting their businesses and how they can effectively work around them. She’s featured many guests on Clubhouse, all of whom have appreciated the focus and dedication she’s shown to helping them succeed in their own businesses.
The designer is a past president of the New Jersey chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers. She is also NCIDQ certified and is a Certified Kitchen Designer.
