Designer never stops learning and growing
Even as a senior designer, Jeanine Yancy is a student of the industry. She completed her CAPS certification and recently earned the NKBA’s Cabinetry Specialist badge.
She began her career in 2008, and in 2018 joined KSI Kitchen & Bath in Brighton, MI, as a designer. Within two years she became a senior designer. Yancy boasts an award-winning body of work, with accolades including the silver award for KBDA’s Master Bath $50K-$100K in 2020 from KBDN and a bronze award for her kitchen entry in the HBA of Southeastern Michigan’s 2021 Sales & Design Competition for Remodeled Home Design.
Yancy imparts her knowledge on social channels, through commentary to trade journals and in seminars. She shares aspects of her in-progress projects with connections on LinkedIn as well as Facebook and Instagram. In addition, she writes design content for the KSI blog.
This past January, she gave a presentation entitled “Maximizing Space in your Kitchen” to a standing-room-only crowd at the Novi Home Show, sponsored by the HBA of Southeastern Michigan. She also co-hosted a live Zoom webinar on kitchen and bathroom organization for the NKBA in June of 2020, and another webinar for the NKBA in October of 2020 on the history of the kitchen and food storage called “From the Root Cellar to the Amazon Room.”
