Leadership and philanthropy driving forces for CEO
Leena Heiman started her career in the construction industry in Colombia, renovating family homes. When she immigrated to Miami with her children, she found success in the condo hotel industry, transitioning into buying, renovating and selling luxury homes.
When the real estate market crashed, she lost everything but found opportunity in hardship, which is what brought MCC Kitchen, Closet & Bath Renovations in Minneapolis, MN to fruition. Heiman, who is CEO of the firm, had to overcome the obstacles of starting a small business and being a woman in construction, but she prides herself on focusing on solutions instead of problems.
Heiman was awarded the “Best of Houzz for Customer Service” in 2019 and 2022, reflecting her work ethic and prioritizing her client’s satisfaction above all else. She received an honorary doctorate from the Academy of Global Peace and is part of the Leadership Circle of UNICEF, with contributions including donating $1,000 from every kitchen sold by her custom cabinetry line, The Luna Village.
She pledged to donate up to one million dollars to UNICEF. Additionally, Heiman was Alignable’s small business owner of the year in Minneapolis in 2021, and she was featured on the front cover of the “Blue Book’s Who is Who in Construction” in 2019.
