Designer’s roots spur growth of business
D’Amore Interiors was founded in 1980 by Frank and Marilyn D’Amore, Gina D’Amore Bauerle’s parents, who started their design careers by selling pillows and bedding at a flea market in South Florida. From those humble beginnings, they grew their business into a full-service interior design firm, now based in Denver, CO. As a child, D’Amore Bauerle spent most of her time with her parents at their business and joined the D’Amore Interiors team 20 years ago as a teenager.
D’Amore Bauerle fell in love with interior design and has grown to become a force to be reckoned with in the industry. An alumna of Johnson & Wales University with business degrees in marketing and advertising, she pursued graduate studies at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh for Interior Design. She has advanced her family firm’s legacy by expanding its interior design services with projects across the nation, with an expansive portfolio that encompasses dramatic, colorful and daringly layered homes to large vacation residences.
The 18,000-sq.-ft., two-story building that houses the design firm devotes the entire first floor to home furnishings, rugs and decor, while the second floor is comprised of the design and custom rug center, which includes area rug samples, upholstery and fabric choices.
D’Amore Bauerle’s projects have been published scores of times in both regional and national publications. In 2020, she was named one of Five Under 40 by Colorado Homes & Lifestyles and one of the Forty Under 40 by Home Furnishings Business.
