Designer embraces what’s possible when creating bespoke space solutions
Jonathan Gordon has had a life-long interest in, and propensity for, design of all types. Through his position as lead designer, founder and owner of Design by the Jonathans in New Haven, CT, the Stamford, CT native has produced widely published and award-winning work using his keen eye and dedication to quality.
He readily embraces new technologies, products and design methods, and pushes the envelope in terms of what is possible in a given space or budget. He takes pride in creating bespoke solutions for his clients and ensures that no two designs are alike. Unafraid to take chances in design, he still makes sure that his clients are on board with what he intends to do before he designs something truly different.
His company boasts a strong team of designers and staff who enjoy coming to work each day. Gordon is currently in the process of launching his second location, where he hopes to replicate the success of his firm by implementing the design business model that he has carefully developed and curated over the years.
He holds a Professional Commercial Certificate in Interior Design from Fairfield University and a bachelor’s degree in Applied Science and Technology with a minor in Design from The George Washington University. In addition, he holds a Certificate in Universal Design and Aging in Place from Harvard University.
