Industry involvement and design excellence yield high marks for young designer
As an award-winning designer, Cathleen Gruver, lead interior designer at Gruver Cooley in Purcellville, VA, has made significant strides in the field of interior design. Recognized as “One to Watch” by the American Society of Interior Designers in 2023, Gruver pushes boundaries and redefines excellence. Her role as chairperson of CBUSA NV allows her to lead a community of industry professionals, fostering collaboration and innovation.
Gruver was named to the National Kitchen & Bath Association 30 Under 30 class of 2016, highlighting her talent and leadership early in her career. As a former adjunct professor at Marymount University and a leader of a three-person design team, she has taught and mentored design professionals.
The designer’s contributions have been featured in Forbes and The Washington Post, where she has shared her innovative approach and unique design perspective. One of her projects was featured in American Farmhouse Style magazine, showcasing her work on a national platform. Additionally, she was selected in 2023 as a Loudoun 40 Under 40 honoree for her contributions to the industry and community.
