Social media sites act as a meeting places for designers
Laurie Laizure is the founder of Interior Design Community, a vibrant online resource for hundreds of thousands of designers worldwide to learn from one another; share frustrations, worries, and joys, and gain valuable information to make their businesses stronger so they may increase revenue and build better procedures.
Started as a social community of Google+, it is designed as a resource for interior design professionals to share information to help market their businesses and learn social media. Initially, it was a simply a space for designers to share information, but it quickly grew from 100 members to 10,000+ members in its first year.
Witnessing its rapid and massive growth, Laizure acknowledged that the need for such a community was important to the industry. Since that time, she has developed a social platform website and thriving communities on Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook, X and LinkedIn to help connect designers from all over the world. Laizure loves to help designers and listens to their problems. She keeps all questions confidential so it is a safe space to ask questions, and she brings a fun sense of humor and witty banter to everyday problems designers face.
Besides working in the design industry, Laizure is a wife and mother of four plus her precocious dog, Bailey. She loves a good crime show, epic novels and traveling the world. “Romancing your life” is a motto in the Laizure household as they share good food, good laughs and good music on a daily basis.
