Cabinet specialist mentors kitchen and bath designers
Katie LaPoint began her journey in the architecture industry by earning her bachelor of arts degree from the Design Institute of San Diego. In 2008, she entered the kitchen and bath industry, demonstrating strong drive and determination to provide the best services she could offer.
Today, LaPoint is the owner, CEO and showroom manager of American Cabinet Suppliers, with multiple showrooms across Washington state and Idaho. ACS is meant to be more than just a showroom and is instead a mentorship space that empowers designers to turn their skills into profitable and self-sustaining businesses. LaPoint has always believed that true innovation lies in giving others the tools to thrive, and that’s what her firm strives to do.
LaPoint serves on the board of the Palouse National Kitchen & Bath Association and hosts bi-weekly Learning Hours in Spokane, WA, educating new designers on various kitchen and bath topics. She also mentors over 20 kitchen and bath designers one-on-one in Washington State, sharing her extensive knowledge and experience in the industry.
When she is not mentoring or running ACS, she strives to beautify her own living spaces. She loves spending time on the ocean and recharging her creative juices with live music.
