Attention to detail and design trends leads to award-winning designs
Graduating from Adrian College with a double major in Interior Design and Business Management, Tori Olijar joined Maison Birmingham in Birmingham, MI as a designer in 2019. She fell in love with kitchen and bath design during her college internship, and particularly enjoys the space planning aspect of projects. She loves the dichotomy of creative yet functional, and enjoys implementing artful, unique concepts in a useful manner. She excels at computer design software and utilizing it to bring projects to life.
In her time at Maison Birmingham, Olijar has been the lead designer on over 40 projects, which have ranged from $40,000 to $900,000. She presents impeccable attention to detail, and ensures that all projects go smoothly.
Her work has been published in Kitchen & Bath Design News, Detroit Design Magazine and Qualified Remodeler. This year alone, she took home 11 Detroit Design Awards to add to her current award collection of at least 50.
Olijar keeps a great pulse on design trends, hardware innovations and all creative solutions through Instagram and industry publications. She is always studying and pushing herself to learn more.
Originally from Ohio just outside of downtown Cleveland, Olijar is new to Michigan and is enjoying exploring her new home. She also loves traveling and incorporating inspiration from her travels into her designs.
