Compact Yet Elevated

KSI Kitchen & Bath
When KSI Kitchen & Bath set out to design its newest showroom, located in Grand Rapids, MI, the aim was to provide an elevated experience to feed customers’ imaginations, with real-feeling kitchen and bath displays and abundant natural light, as well as a presentation room and sample library. The challenge was, of course, to contain these lofty goals within a comparatively small footprint of 1,200 sq. ft.
In the capable hands of designer Lauren Tolles, the display center was divided into a series of “rooms,” including three primary focal-point kitchen displays, a library wall for cabinetry door samples and a “jewelry drawer” of hardware pieces and other samples – ideal for designers to put together a palette of materials and finishes for clients.
A functional kitchen takes the place of a break room in order to maximize the available space. Appropriate for its small square footage, the showroom makes particular use of storage and organizational solutions for spices, cutlery and other items, encouraging designers and clients to approach storage and space usage thoughtfully.
