Sleek Curves

Prior to the remodel, this powder room featured several hallmarks of ‘80s design – sponge painted walls, carpeted flooring and heavy dark finishes. The goal for the redesign was to create a modern style statement while maintaining the room’s unique curved footprint.
Because demo had to be kept to a minimum, the designers – Lori Carroll, Kat Saucedo and Becky Eppihimer – were tasked with finding finishes that would fit and accentuate the existing layout. An eye-catching blue and gray wallcovering from Paris, France was selected to replace the outdated sponge painting, while raised beige field tile was selected for the floor to provide a neutral yet visually interesting base for the design.
A comprehensive lighting plan featuring recessed ceiling lighting and full-length LEDs behind the mirror provides a sense of spaciousness, aided by shiny Ann Sacks accent tiles. A Gessi washbasin, combined with a ceiling-mount faucet, acts as an eye-catching centerpiece.
