Modern Mountain

Part of a new-build vacation home, the goal for this design was to transpose the mountain scenery outside into the powder bath while creating a modern statement. 

Originally a converted 300-lb. natural chamcha wood root table, the vanity was reclaimed and drilled to provide room for plumbing, then topped with a white bronze vessel sink by Stone Forest. The main wall of the powder room is mirrored, serving as a vanity mirror and creating a sensation of spaciousness, while a matte black wall-mounted faucet creates a weightless look without interrupting the mirror wall. 

A Kohler toilet with a cashmere finish blends subtly into the space, aided by barnwood-look floor tile in a blackened finish with metallic embossing. The remaining walls and sloped ceiling are all covered in patterned black wallpaper that resembles a topography map.
