Sneller Custom Homes, Spring, TX
The concept for Sneller Custom Homes and Remodeling’s new Spring, TX showroom was ambitious, to say the least; although production builders often have model homes, it is rarer for custom builders to have them. Because every custom home is, by definition, different, this “showcase office” was designed as a way to demonstrate for clients the look and feel of upgrades and bigger ticket elements, as well as to inspire them with unique and exciting ideas. Additionally, the firm needed a place for client and team meetings, as well as day-to-day working space.
There were a number of challenges associated with designing a showroom meant to fulfill multiple roles. Narrowing down the list of product selections was a herculean task in itself, as was selecting the design team. Additional challenges included some finicky installations, such as a sliding spice rack, a drop-down TV and a custom conference room door.
Many sets of eyes – including vendors, architects, designers, home energy specialists and more – on the project meant plenty of expert insight and advice, which led to the creation of a space that works for both clients and employees. At 5,392 square feet, the showcase office features fully functional and eye-catching vignettes, workspaces and more to spark the imagination of clients.
