The clients wished to transform an old children’s bathroom into a more comfortable, updated one that could be used by guests. They wanted to gut the entire bathroom, apart from the existing window, and to preserve the layout of the existing plumbing. The designer saw the potential for wallpaper in the new space and suggested a charming green and white floral pattern from 1875, which brought a feeling of elegance to the bathroom. The bathroom has the only tub in the house, so the clients wished to upgrade it from porcelain to hardier MTI. The team installed a statement vanity with quartz countertops and plenty of storage below an oval mirror and additional lighting. A linen closet fits snugly between the shower and the door, making the most out of the bathroom’s space.
